Long bio:
Francesco Corucci, born in Pisa in 1988, discovers freediving in 2015 and instantly falls in love with this sport. It is fair to say that freediving has radically changed his life. Following his passion for this sport and for teaching in general, after a few years of training and experiences around the world, he has decided to put all his energies into teaching others how to enjoy freediving.

He created Deep Instinct Freediving in 2020, aiming at offering courses characterized by the best quality and safety standards, with the utmost attention and customization on each student. He runs his activities along the beautiful rocky coast of Livorno (Tuscany, Italy).

He is a an AIDA Instructor Trainer, Emergency Instructor (DAN and PSS, focused on PBLSD, Oxygen and Advanced Oxygen), AIDA Judge (pool and depth) and organizer.

From 2023, he is responsible for AIDA Italy.

From 2019 he specializes in competitive freediving safety (he is a Vertical Blue Professional Safety Freediver and an AIDA Advanced Safety Instructor).

He has been in the safety team for the most prestigious freediving competitions worldwide, including one Vertical Blue and three depth World Championships (AIDA 2021, CMAS 2021, AIDA 2023).

In 2022 he entered the safety team of Vertical Blue: considered by many the pinnacle of our sport, his safety team is recognized as one of the best in the world.

He is a master monofin instructor and AIDA Youth Instructor (certified to teach kids from 6 to 16 years old).

Starting from 2022, he works within the AIDA Education Committee as Education Content Manager.
He is also part of the AIDA Safety Committee.

A background in computer engineering and robotics research, in 2022 he quits his engineering job to devote full-time to freediving.
