Safety Qualifications:
All safeties are freediving instructors or assistant instructors, safeties are also AIDA/VB safety freediver. The head of safety (Karim Osama) is a professional safety freediver, and is head of operations at FDW.
Safety plan:
Platform (1 or 2, depending no. athletes) with counter ballast and sonar. Each competition line has 3 safety freedivers and 1 backup freediver. The deepest safety freediver with have DPV (underwater scooter). Per competition line there will be 3 warmup boys and 2 safety freedivers. The medic will be on the platform with all emergency equipment. Emergency O2 is available on the platform with multiple units (freeflow, on-demand, purge). Decompression O2 is available at surface and at depth (5m), at least 2 deco-station will be installed. The no.1 and no.2 safety freedivers will do daily decompression after their shift.
