- Oxygen bottle and dispenser with sealed masks on standby - provided & administered by Evan Walther & Warren Cupido. Both are certified O2 Administrators. Warren Cupido is a qualified Paramedic.
- Lifeguards on duty from Lifesaving South Africa - Adrian Ndayambaje, Yorick Moolman, Wendy Paarman.

In pool safety precautions & procedure:
Two safety divers will accompany each competitor for the duration of their performance. One safety diver will be present in the warm-up zones. All safety divers have been trained in pool rescue skills.

In the event of an emergency, the follow procedure will be executed by the Safety Team & on site Lifeguards & Oxygen Administrator:
- Bring competitor to the surface.
- Blow - tap - talk
- Assist competitor out of the water.
- Administer CPR if needed.
- Assess need for oxygen administration.
- Assess need for medical attention.
- Transport competitor to nearby hospital in the event of an emergency.
