Safety Qualifications:
Professioanl lifeguard is in attendance at all times for warm-up and competition. Four Safety
Divers will be utilised during the event.
O2 Resuscitation and Automated External Defibrillator available at
competition site. The Gold Coast University Hospital is located about
4.5kms from the Gold Coast Aquatic Centre. All competitors minimum
AIDA 2 Pool certification or equivalent. ``Freediving Gold Coast
Risk Management - Club and Competition Pool Events`` document
has been provided to the Australian Freediving Association.
Divers will be utilised during the event.

2. Besides the Event Medic, Brad Kinnel, in attendance at our competition
event two other lifeguards are available at the venue.
3. Competition organiser, Clinton Laurence, is a qualified Lifeguard.
4. The Gold Coast University Hospital is located approximately 4.5 km
or 10 minutes by ambulance from the Gold Coast Aquatic Centre.
5. Our event is being conducted at the government owned
Gold Coast Aquatic Centre. As such all local, State and National government
requirements regarding COVID 19 policies for sporting including aquatic events must
strictly be adhered to.
