A qualified nurse (advanced life support trainer) will be present throughout the competition with full equipment (oxigen kit and ambu bag). In an emergency, \"Hospital da Horta\" is less than 1km away and the chief of the emergency department is informed prior to the competition. There will be safety freedivers with experience in competition safety and before the competition there will be some practical exercises with them.
