Additional info: Dear Freedivers, Breathholders, Apneists, Skindivers, AquaticOnes and Waterlovers!! Freediving Club Greece in Kalamata, is proud to announce for the 10th Mediterranean World Cup!!! Can you believe its been 10 years already? During the summer of 2017 we will be hosting this amazing event during early July in your favourite destination the Calm Zone of Kalamata Bay! The details: 10th Mediterranean World Cup Dates: July 2nd to July 15th • Training Weeks are available prior to the event as our freediving centre is open since early April. • 2 Competition Weeks with 3 days of Mediterranean World Cup each week (CWT/CNF/FIM available each day) • AIDA Ranking and WR status competition • Fees: 300euro/week Training and 350euro/week Training and Competing • Accommodation: Elite Resort Hotel in Kalamata Special rates starting at under 35€/night per person sharing in double rooms The winner of the 10th Mediterranean Cup will be determined by adding the top scores from all disciplines attempted during the two weeks of the event. (If an athlete does not have any valid dive in one or more disciplines or events then the score for that discipline or event will be 0). The Prizes: For the overall winners of the 2014 Freediving Cup Circuit the prizes for Men and Women are: 1st Overall Place (Men or Women) - €500 in cash & gifts 2nd Overall Place (Men or Women) - €300 in gifts 3rd Overall Place (Men or Women) - €200 in gifts We have arranged amazing prizes such as custom made wetsuits, longblade fins, innovative low volume freediving masks etc. For additional information or to book your place please contact me by email at: info@freediving-club.gr. Safety Qualifications: Stavros Kastrinakis - AIDA IT, wrote the AIDA Safety Freediver Course, Harry Chamas 2016 AIDA WCh head of safety team and AIDA Master Instructor. Also attended by 4 qualified safety divers (AIDA Instructors and AIDA 4* )
Safety plan: Same as for World Championships 2011, 2013, 2016. Special evac boat with Rescue Team EMTs transfers diver to shore (<5min) where ambulance transfers to Kalamata Hospital (total time <15min)
