Additional info: This is a static only comp. $25/start. Up to two starts per athlete. The competition will run from 3pm-6pm. Event Registration will close at 3pm on Wednesday, October 29. The athlete briefing will occur on Thursday, October 30 at 7:30pm via Zoom. You will receive this link after you have paid your entry fee. The AP you declare when you sign up for the competition will be used by default. You have until Wednesday, October 29 at 3pm to change your announcement. OTs will be 10 minutes apart. If your STA may be 7:00+ please email the organization team at emeraldcityapneachallenge@gmail.com. We will add additional time to ensure there is enough time for the next athlete in the performance zone to relax and prepare..

Safety Qualifications: Three of the safety divers are certified AIDA Pool Safety Divers. The remaining team are experienced certified freedivers who have participated in competition before and are have run many safety drills.
Safety plan: Safety supervision on warmup lanes and in each performance zone. Medical oxygen is on site in the event of a Freediving incident or injury. In the event of an incident occurs that is out of scope for our safety team`s or medic`s abilities, there are multiple level 1 trauma hospitals in the area including the closest one to the pool: Primary Emergency Facility Providence Regional Medical Center Everett 1700 13th St, Everett, WA 98201 📞 (425) 261-2000 Approx. 15-20 minutes from the Snohomish Aquatic Center Full-service trauma hospital with 24/7 emergency care The plan for evacuation is: ● Safety personnel initiate rescue and provide immediate support ● The safety coordinator will activate emergency response (911). ● Emergency services (911) are directed to the northeast corner of the building (not the main entrance) to receive the individual. ● The onsite medic provides care until EMS arrives. ● All incidents are documented and reviewed post-event.
