General Terms and Conditions (GTC)
AIDA Pool Competition Biel – 13 December 2025
1. Scope
1.1 These General Terms and Conditions (“GTC”) govern the legal relationship between the organizer Freediving 3-Seenland, 2503 Biel/Bienne, Switzerland (“Organizer”) and all athletes and supporters (“Participants”) registering for the AIDA Pool Competition Biel taking place on 13 December 2025 at CTS Biel-Bienne.
1.2 By completing the registration and effecting payment, the Participant acknowledges and accepts these GTC as legally binding.
2. Registration and Payment
2.1 Participation fees are as follows:
Athlete Early Bird: CHF 60.– (valid until 30 September 2025)
Athlete Regular: CHF 90.– (from 1 October 2025)
Supporter Ticket: CHF 120.–
2.2 Payment must be made in full to the following account within ten (10) days of registration:

IBAN: CH63 0900 0000 1643 4009 8
Account Holder: Freediving 3-Seenland, 2503 Biel/Bienne
2.3 Registration is confirmed only upon receipt of payment. Places are limited to twenty-four (24) and allocated on a first-come, first-served basis.
3. Cancellation and Refunds
3.1 Early Bird registrations (until 30 September 2025) are non-refundable under any circumstances.
3.2 Regular registrations (1 October 2025 – 30 November 2025) may be cancelled in writing to (freediving3seenland@gmail.com), subject to a deduction of an administrative fee of CHF 30.–.
3.3 From 1 December 2025 onwards, no refunds will be granted.
4. Event Modification and Cancellation
4.1 The Organizer reserves the right to alter the schedule, venue, or format of the event due to safety, technical, or legal requirements. Such modifications shall not entitle Participants to a refund.
4.2 Should the Organizer cancel the event in its entirety, participation fees will be refunded in full. No liability shall be assumed for ancillary costs incurred by Participants (e.g. travel, accommodation).
5. Participation Requirements
5.2 Each athlete must present:
a valid AIDA medical certificate (not older than one year), and proof of AIDA membership.
5.4 The Organizer reserves the right to exclude athletes who fail to meet the requirements. Fees will not be refunded in such cases.
6. Safety and Liability
6.1 The competition shall be conducted in compliance with AIDA International Rules and Regulations.
6.4 Participation is at the sole risk of the athlete. The Organizer, AIDA, the venue operator and associated staff disclaim all liability for accidents, injuries, illness, theft, or damage to property.
7. Code of Conduct
7.1 Participants shall comply with all AIDA competition rules and follow the instructions of judges, safeties, medics, and the Organizer.
7.2 Any unsportsmanlike, unsafe, or disruptive behaviour may result in immediate disqualification without refund.
8. Data Protection and Media Rights
8.1 By registering, the Participant consents to the use of personal data for event administration purposes. Data will not be shared with third parties except as necessary for the event.
8.2 The Participant grants the Organizer and AIDA the unrestricted right to use photographs, video recordings, and competition results for publication on websites, official rankings, media outlets, and social platforms, without compensation.

1. On-Site Safety Measures
Safeties in the water for each athlete performance
Head of Safety coordinating safety team, communication and incident response
On-site Medic equipped with oxygen (O₂) and Basic Life Support (BLS) skills
AED (Defibrillator) available within the facility
2. Emergency Response Flow
Incident recognition: Safety freedivers or judges identify emergency.
Immediate response: Athlete recovered, handed to Medic → O₂ administration & monitoring.
If severe condition: Call 144 (Swiss Ambulance Service).
Ambulance arrival: Pick-up point = back entrance of CTS (park side) for direct access to pool deck.
Transport: Nearest ER at Spitalzentrum Biel – Notfallzentrum, Vogelsang 84, 2502 Biel.
Distance: ~1.5 km (4–6 minutes).
3. Evacuation Procedures
Follow CTS facility evacuation routes in case of fire or building emergency.
Event staff and judges guide athletes & spectators to nearest exits.
Assembly point = park area behind the facility.
4. Communication & Roles
Head of Safety: Leads water rescues & coordinates with Medic.
Event Medic: Provides primary care, initiates ambulance call if necessary.
Event Director: Communicates with facility management & emergency services.
Assigned Volunteer: Meets ambulance at back entrance and guides them to pool.
5. Hospital Access
Spitalzentrum Biel (ER) is the designated medical facility.
Ambulance or private vehicle transport (only if athlete stable).
Travel time: approx. 5–10 minutes depending on traffic.
