Safety Qualifications:
Brad Kinnel, professional lifeguard and employed by the Gold Coast
Aquatic Centre is the Event Medic. Two other lifeguards are also in
attendance at the Gold Coast Aquatic Centre. Clinton Laurence is also a qualified Lifeguard. Three Safety Divers
will be at least minimum of AIDA 2 Freediver or AIDA Competition Safety Freediver certification.

Safety plan:
Lifeguard is in attendance at all times for warm-up and competition.
O2 Resuscitation and Automated External Defibrillator available at
competition site. The Gold Coast University Hospital is located about
4.5kms from the Gold Coast Aquatic Centre. All competitors minimum
AIDA 2 Pool certification or equivalent. Safety divers are minimum of AIDA 2
Freediver or AIDA Competition Safety Freediver certification.
Comprehensive Risk Management Plan followed.
Event is being held in a government owned public pool
and therefore all local, state and national rules and guidelines
for prevention and transmission of COVID 19 must be followed.
All competitors, officials and safety divers must provide proof of
all required COVID-19 vaccinations for entry to the event.
