Authentic Big Blue competition has two diving spots. The primary diving spot is in Agia Anna , where the depth is more than 140 m .
In case of bad weather conditions at the primery spot , there is a second spot in Agios Pavlos (saint Paul) close to Nikouria island , where the conditions allow us to have a safe competition.
The second spot has a depth limit of 80m .
From Monday 20 of September until Saturday 25 there will be 5 official days and one day off. Organization chooses the day off according the weather conditions.
Moreover you need to know that Amorgos is so far one of the \\``green covid places\\`` in Greece with almost zero covid cases.

Safety Qualifications:
There will be 3 boats , one competition boat - one evacuation boat and one boat as dry area for athletes. All the boats will be equipped with diving flags and all the necessary equipment for safety. The competition boat is equipped with counter ballast system (checked for its efficiency ) and of course a sonar. Three safety divers for the competition line (one using a scooter ) and one safety diver for each warm up line (probably 3 or 4 warm up lines – depending from number of athletes) . The medical coverage of the event will be in cooperation with Amorgos Health Center , Onassio Cardiac surgery center and Amorgos red cross organization . The competition’s doctor always present on evacuation boat. Additional we are in contact with the Hyperbaric Chamber of the Athens Navy Hospital in case of a problem requiring hyperbaric chamber treatment .All boats are equipped with medical oxygen devices and first aid kits. In case of emergency evacuation Dr Giorgos Hatzigeorgiou (cardiologist) will be present escorting the freediver and providing oxygen and first aid.
Evacuation boat needs less than 2 minutes to Agia Anna beach (or 7 minutes to Agios Pavlos , the second dive spot with 80 m depth limit) , and from there 7-8 minutes with ambulance to the medical center of Amorgos(15 from Agios Pavlos). Doctor on dive area boat and 2 medics on the evacuation - medical boat. Medical O2 on dive boat and on the evacuation boat.
