This competition is in conjunction with a judge training course provided by Grant Graves. The other judges will the students of the course.

Safety Qualifications:
Prior to the event, all safety divers will attend Safety Training, performed by the head of safety team. All safety divers are AIDA certified. The competition zone and warm up zone will each have 1 safety diver. There will be an additional safety diver on standby and to rotate.
Safety plan:
A qualified medic will be stationed at the pool in a designated medical area for immediate response, with ambulance services notified ahead of time and the nearest hospital, North Island Hospital Comox Valley, only five minutes away to ensure swift emergency transport if required. Medical equipment on site will include a pulse oximeter, stethoscope, pocket mask, emergency oxygen with masks, and an AED. In the event of minor incidents, 100% oxygen and first aid will be administered immediately. AIDA certified freediving safety divers will monitor all competitors in the pool, with additional lifeguard support available. All staff and safety personnel will be fully briefed on the Emergency Action Plan (EAP) prior to the competition to ensure an effective and coordinated response.
