Opening event with a brief competition for the children of the community of Santa Marta in order to promote Freediving as a sport.

Safety Qualifications:
Team of six experienced safety divers, one chief of logistics, one medical officer, two paramedics, one fully equipped ambulance on hold, speedboat provided by coastguard, four coastguard officers, staff and volunteers
Safety plan:
In case of an emergency and a necessary immediate evac of a victim, the Coast Guard support boat will be ready to transport the victim straight to the shore (ETA 4 minutes) and to the ambulance where the paramedics from the “Defensa Civil” will be ready to take action, once notified via radio directly from the competition zone. Two paramedics from the FCV (Fundacion Cardio Vascular) will be at the competition zone during all of the event in order to provide immediate medical assistance while being evac to the shore. Once there the victim will receive specialized medical attention at the ambulance while moved to the nearest hospital (aprox. 10 min car drive).
