Safety Qualifications:
All safety divers are qualified and also hold a first aid certificate such as EFR. The safety divers are all experienced in pool competitions and have been part of the safety team at previous Bristol Blue competitions.
Safety plan:
The leisure centre has an emergency medical evacuation plan which in case of emergencies will be followed. The centre is 2.7 miles from Southmead Hospital and 4.8 miles from the Bristol Royal infirmary. A briefing will be held with the pool staff and lifeguards prior to the event.
