For advancing your freediving skills and learning the science and techniques for advancing your time, depth and distance.
Course prerequisites: Be 18 years of age or older (16 years with parent/guardian consent), completed AIDA2 or equivalent with Crossover Evaluation, completed AIDA Medical Form and Liability Release
Specific disciplinary course entry requirements for cross over evaluation:
- Static - Demonstrate static rescue techniques and how to buddy - Performance requirement: 2:00
- Dynamic - Demonstrate dynamic buddy techniques and underwater rescue - Performance requirement: 40m
- Constant Weight - Demonstrate buddy techniques and underwater rescue at 10m - Performance requirement: 16m
The course is typically taught over four days in a two week period. This includes lectures, pool training and four open water dives.
Maximum of four participants per course. Success graduates will be given a 1 year membership to AIDA Canada (or other as required).
