The place: Eilat ? Red sea.

The time: 23-26 of November 2005

\r\n

The goal:
1. to die as deep as possible on a single breath.

\r\n

2. To hold your breath for as long as possible.

\r\n

The means: Mask, snorkel, fins and a suit.

\r\n

The participants: Israeli Freedivers of all levels.

\r\n

The organizer: F.D.I ? the national representative of AIDA

\r\n

Erez Beatus- Former world record holder, National Freediving trainer and instructor and Assaf Gavra ? Member of the Israeli Freediving team, Freediving instructor.

\r\n

The categories:

\r\n

Static breath hold: The diver has to hold his breath for as long as possible while keeping his head under the water.

\r\n

The record in this discipline is - 08:58 min\' for men and 07:16 for women.

\r\n

Dynamic breath hold : The goal is to pass the longest distance under the water on one breath of air.   It can be done with or without fins.

\r\n

The record for men is 212 m\' with fins and 175 m\' without fins. The record for women is 178 m\' with fins

\r\n

constant  weights with fins: Diving as deep as possible on one breath of air. The diver is not allowed to get rid of the weights during the accent.

\r\n

Equipment assisted: The diver uses a propulsion method - fins or monofin to get to the desired depth and back.

\r\n

 

\r\n

The competition Will consist all of the above categories.

\r\n

The event will be held according the rules and regulations of A.I.D.A.

\r\n

All safety protocols and organizations will be monitored by 2 International A.I.D.A judges.

\r\n

The plan:

The event will be a national event with guests.

\r\n

The event will take place In Eilat. We will have 1 training day and 3 competition days ? one for each category.

\r\n

 

\r\n

In the end of the event, the freediver that has the most points ? wins !!

\r\n

Articles in most national newspapers in Israel.

\r\n

Basic agreement with the second channel and the extreme channel to produce items on the event.

\r\n
